What Is Actually Worth Paying For

Pruning a declining ornamental cures nothing, and we will not sell it to you as treatment. Taking a dead lead off a roofline or clearing a limb over the sidewalk is a safety job, worth doing on those terms alone. Money goes further on the trees at the back of these lots that still have most of their lives ahead of them.

The other honest note is price. Dropping a dead birch or a sixty-year-old cherry out of a flat front yard, with the truck at the curb and nothing underneath, is an ordinary job and ought to be priced like one. If a quote on a small tree with easy access reads like a big-tree number, get a second look before you sign.
